The meeting was also attended by the CEO of the Algerian group Sonelgaz, operating in the gas and electricity sector. During this meeting, the parties examined the relations between the two entities active in the energy sector as well as the prospects for collaboration in the immediate future – in particular in the context of technical support to the Libyan electricity company for the implementation of the energy development program as well as staff training.

This visit is part of the consultations between Sonelgaz and GECOL and of the strengthening of energy cooperation between Algeria and Libya, but also of the strategy of the Algerian group in terms of international investments. The parties welcomed the quality of the partnership between the two companies and announced their intention to strengthen and expand the areas of cooperation.
