Libya: IS cuts off three oil guards’ heads

IS in Libya posted Thursday a video on Twitter showing the beheading of three members from the Oil Facilities Guard who were abducted by the IS militants from an area near oil-rich Ras Lanuf, 650 km to the east of Tripoli.
An official in the Oil Facilities Guard confirmed the news after the video of the decapitation went viral on Twitter.
“The beheaded persons were kidnapped on January 14 during IS attack on the oil crescent region, specifically, an area near Ras Lanuf.” Added the official.
