Libyan delegation attends international transport forum in Morocco

The Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAIP) participated as a guest of honour in the second edition of the International Forum and Exhibition on Transport, Mobility and Logistics (LOGITERRE 2025), held in Casablanca, Morocco, from 16 to 18 October, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The LAIP delegation was headed by Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mustafa Abofanas, and included Deputy Minister of Transport, Fadhlallah Rafallah, along with several accompanying members. The participation followed an official invitation from the African Union for Transport and Logistics, organiser of the event, in recognition of the Portfolio’s engagement in development and regional economic integration efforts.
During the opening session, Abofanas said the forum represents an opportunity for dialogue and cooperation in areas of transport, mobility and logistics, and contributes to strengthening partnerships aimed at achieving sustainable development across Africa.
The Portfolio also joined discussions on regional connectivity and joint logistics strategies, and, in collaboration with the Libyan Ministry of Transport, presented an overview of the “Libya–Africa Transit Corridors Project.” The project seeks to improve overland connections between northern Libya and sub-Saharan Africa, supporting trade, transport and investment across the region.
The initiative attracted attention from Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, who referred to its strategic potential for both Libya and the wider African continent as part of ongoing efforts to build a more integrated and efficient transport network.
The participation of the Libyan African Investment Portfolio in LOGITERRE 2025 reflects its continued interest in contributing to regional dialogue and cooperation within Africa’s transport and logistics sectors.
