Libyan, Tunisian Audit Chiefs meet to strengthen cooperation

Libyan Audit Bureau Chairman Khaled Shakshak met with Fadhila Al-Qarqouri, President of the Tunisian Court of Auditors, in Tunis on Friday to discuss strengthening bilateral audit cooperation.
During the meeting, the officials focused on implementing the existing Memorandum of Understanding between their institutions and explored ways to enhance the effectiveness of the Maghreb Coordination Committee.
Shakshak presented Al-Qarqouri with the Professional Auditor Certificate curricula, a joint initiative developed by the Libyan Audit Bureau in partnership with the Arab Society of Certified Accountants.
The leaders also reviewed preparations for the upcoming 16th General Assembly of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI), scheduled to take place in Tripoli in early December 2024.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen audit and accountability cooperation between Libya and Tunisia while advancing regional coordination across North Africa.
