Libya’s Al-Ittihad players beaten in Benghazi match

Libya’s Tripoli-based Al-Ittihad players were beaten before playing Al-Ahli Benghazi at Benina stadium on Sunday.
The team withdrew from the match of the fourth round of the quartet final round of the Libyan Football League and the referee announced Al-Ahli Benghazi winner 2-0 afterwards.
The Interim Commission of the team issued a statement deploring the incident and calling for investigation into the attack of Al-Saiqa Force on the players in Benghazi while they were en route to the stadium.
It also called for moving Al-Ittihad matches from Benghazi to a neutral city for lack of security in there.
