Libya’s parliament passes constitutional amendment for 2019 elections

The House of Representatives (HoR), based in eastern Libyan city of Tobruk, has passed a legislation to amend the constitutional declaration to divide Libya into three electoral areas – east, west, and south.
The HoR also agreed on reshuffling the Presidential Council to become one president and two deputies.
According to the HoR’s website, the electoral areas will be required to have a vote of 1+50 from every one of them and two thirds of the voting from all over Libya via the upcoming referendum in order to pass the constitution of the country.
