A meeting held in the England’s capital, London, and attended by the US Secretary of State John Kerry, kicked off Monday with the presence of the Head of the Libyan Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Serraj.

The London meeting is discussing the economic downfall in Libya as well as the Libyan political stalemate in a bid to provide an effective solution and support for the UN-brokered GNA.

“The meeting will be centered around helping all the conflict parties in Libya reach a peaceful solution to avoid a civil war in the country.” Kerry said on Sunday before the meeting had started.

“In a country like Libya, where there are only 6 million population, we should be working on a better solution and reach results that are far more better than the ones we have reached previously.” Kerry added, according to the US State Secretary website.
