Misrata Notables and Elders Council rejects GNA’s entrance to Tripoli
The Council of Misrata Notables and Elders issued a statement Saturday to reject the moving of the Government of National Accord to the capital, Tripoli, saying that Misrata Municipality only represents itself and is acting unilaterally without regard to the city’s population.
The Misrata NEC said such acts by the municipality will plunge the city in a chaos and a conflict as the municipality is backing the moving of the Serraj government to Tripoli disregarding the rejection of most of Misrata NEC members and the city residents as well as the city’s armed factions.
The Misrata NEC also called on Libyans to unify in the fight against foreign intervention and terrorism and rally around the Libyan-Libyan dialogue for the good of the country.
