Mitiga Airport shuts down aviation amid news of GNA arrival

Mitiga airport

Sources at Mitiga airport in Tripoli have confirmed that the airspace has been shut down and all flights halted by the Civil Aviation Authority.

The sources added that the shut down will be effected for 6 hours from 8am to 2pm without mentioning any clear reasons for it.

Saturday night was a bit shady and full of unclear actions around the airport, which some eyewitnesses said it was surrounded by forces and shut down upon news of Serraj government’s arrival.
