National Oil Corporation steps up maintenance of oil fields and terminals
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has held a meeting in Tripoli with the attendance of the directors of maintenance units at the oil firms in Libya.
The meeting discussed solutions and quick and vital maintenance works in the oil fields and terminals to fix the long-shut pipelines and tanks as well as other facilities.
The attendees also discussed with the NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, the increasing rates of oil production in Libya.
“We called for repairing the leaks of the oil pipelines that connect the oil fields and port.” The NOC posted on its website Thursday.
It added that they also stressed the importance of cooperation among the firms to help overcome all the hardships they are facing given the current shortage of cash, which left them in dire need for equipment to keep the rising oil output going.
