Operation Dignity spokesman: 16 bodies of migrants found on Libya’s border with Egypt

Libyan security forces of the eastern so-called Libyan National Army (LNA) said on Tuesday that bodies of 16 migrants had been found in the desert near Libya’s border with Egypt.
The spokesman o the self-styled LNA, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said the bodies were found about 310 km southwest of the coastal city of Tobruk.
“Search is still ongoing and no more details were available about the migrants’ identities.” He added.
Earlier this summer, patrols and rescuers have recovered the bodies of Egyptian migrants who have perished after being stranded or abandoned by smugglers in Libya’s eastern desert.
