PC, HoR discuss political situation in Libya

The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh discussed in Al-Qubba town with the Deputy Head of Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, the political developments in Libya to find a common ground to achieve stability in the country.
The meeting came amid speculations about the intention of the HoR to name a new Prime Minister to replace Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah.
Saleh called for a session to be convened on Monday in Tobruk but he didn’t announce the agenda of the session, while statements by some HoR members said naming a new PM is on the table.
Sources said there have been meetings inside and outside Libya aiming to strike consensus on the new cabinet, adding that the former Libyan ambassador in the UAE, Aref Al-Nayed, could be one favorable name after failing to agree on Fathi Bashagha.
