Presidential Council’s delegation headed by Al-Serraj visits Sirte

A delegation headed by Fayez Al-Serraj, th Head of the Presidential Council, along with his deputy Ahmed Mitig visited Wednesday morning Sirte and met with the senior leaders of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous operation, which is formed by the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA), sources told Press Solidarity.

The meeting discussed the looming liberation of the whole city of Sirte from IS terrorists and the final battle that the Misurata-led forces are fighting now in Neighbourhood 3, where the remaining IS militants are barricaded.

The sources added that the meeting possibly discussed the mechanisms the forces should announce the liberation of the city with and what would happen afterwards in Sirte.
