Presidential Council’s Head Fayez Al-Serraj repeals Al-Mijibri’s decisions

The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, has rescinded all of the orders issued by his substitute, Fathi Al-Mijibri over the last few days.

In a televised speech, Al-Serraj said Wednesday that all of the decisions made by Al-Mijibri are imbalanced and therefore they are annulled.

He also commented on the resignation of his deputy, Mousa Al-Koni, saying, “I felt so sorry for his resignation and we are still communicating with him to convince him back into the Presidential Council team.”

“The Presidential Council did not fail, we faced many obstacles and crises in Libya and we need to be together and united to overcome them.” Al-Serraj indicated, saying leaving the country empty with no government will only worsen its crises.

He added that the Presidential Council will soon announce a group of healing measures that will bring the suffering of the Libyan citizens into a definite end.

“We welcome all of the initiatives that aim at reconciling Libyans and bringing them all together for the benefit of the country. We will be glad to go through any of those initiatives based on the Libyan Political Agreement signed in Skhirat.” Al-Serraj elaborated, saying only Libyans will decide their fate without any foreign intervention.

“I call on the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to work together to find a way out of this political limbo.” Al-Serraj concluded in his televised speech.
