Pro-Haftar forces assault southern Sabha checkpoint, Third Force thwarts attack
The spokesperson of the Third Force’s media office, Muhammad Qliwan, said their forces are in control of the Gwirat Al-Maal checkpoint in the southern entrance to Sabha city in southern Libya.
Qliwan added Tuesday that after clashing with forces led by Mohammed Ben Nayel, who is a pro-Khalifa Haftar’s Operation Dignity figure, for several hours, the Third Force managed to keep the area safe and secure and pushed the attackers away from the region.
“We won’t allow any kind of destabilisation by Operation Dignity forces and followers to take place in southern Libya.” Qliwan indicated, saying they have been appointed to control the south and they are now in full control of it.
