RASCOM and Thales attend RascomStar-QAF shareholder discussions

RascomStar-QAF shareholders reviewed the satellite operator’s finances and operations and discussed its strategic plan at a meeting in Tripoli on Monday, 21 September.
The Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAIP), which owns 63 per cent of the company, hosted the meeting at its headquarters. The other shareholders are the Regional African Satellite Communication Organisation (RASCOM), with 25 per cent, and Thales, with 12 per cent.
According to a statement obtained by the Libyan Express, the meeting examined the board’s report on the company’s financial position and a report on its activities and operations. Shareholders also discussed its strategic plan and matters relating to business development.
LAIP’s chairman, board members and executive management attended at its headquarters, while representatives of RASCOM and Thales participated by video link.
