Sanalla says Dbeibeh appointed Bengdara to satisfy the UAE

Sanallah arrives in NOC headquarters despite reports of sacking

The head of Libya’s National Oil Corp (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, called the Government of National Unity at the end of its mandate and accused Prime Minister Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah of manipulating the NOC.

It came in a visual speech tonight, Wednesday, after he arrived at the headquarters of the NOC in the capital, Tripoli, after his return from Hajj.

Sanalla said that the so-called al-Dbeibah government has expired as an interim government and has been accomplished.

Sanalla said that the National Oil Corporation is owned by the people of Libya, not by Dabaiba family and NOC is greater than the Dbeibah government, as he said.

Sanalla said al-Dbeibah wants to jeopardise the National Oil Corporation and hand it over to the Emirates, pointing out that the government has concluded agreements with the UAE.

He added that the UAE is allied with al-Dbeibah, which in his view can use the NOC as a vehicle.

Sanalla explained that Dabaiba has appointed Farhat Bengdara as head of the NOC to satisfy the UAE and ensure that he remains head of the government.

Sanalla warned against touching and approaching the head office of the National Oil Corporation.

“I remain in the NOC, and nobody can violate his seat,” he added.
