School canceled in Al-Khoms and Zliten due to bad weather conditions

The municipality councils of both Al-Khoms and Zliten cites have decided to cancel school on Wednesday and Thursday due to poor weather conditions and heavy rain fall.

Al-Khoms municipality council declared , in a statement posted on its Facebook page, a state of emergency in the municipality, in addition to forming an emergency committee to “provide assistance to citizens.”

In Zliten, the council called upon all security agencies to raise the level of readiness “to confront any emergency and provide daily and emergency services to citizens.”

The Libyan National Meteorological Center expects strong winds ranging from (80-60) km / h and thunder clouds as well as the fall of heavy rain especially on the coastal areas.
