Sirte Municipality discusses humanitarian aids for displaced families with Tripoli and international charities

The Mayor of Sirt, Mukhtar Al-Madani has met in Tripoli with officials from the Libya Charity Organization, which is headed by Nihad Mitiq.

The meeting focused on the current tough humanitarian situation of the displaced families from Sirt, who are living in different towns and cities within the country.

“We agreed on a work plan and a humanitarian support plan for the families displaced outside Sirte in cooperation with local charity institutions and international organizations such as the International Red Cross.” Said Al-Madani.

Al Madani told Libyan News Agency (LANA) that they also agreed on offering humanitarian to over 25,000 displaced families from Sirt, such as addressing housing rent problems, liquidity at banks, public and university education, pointing out that they want to ease up all their problems in cooperation with Sirt Municipal Council.
