UN envoy Tetteh to present Libya roadmap at Security Council

The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, is scheduled to brief the UN Security Council on Thursday, August 21, on the latest developments in Libya.
Diplomatic sources indicated that Tetteh is expected to outline a proposed roadmap aimed at advancing a political solution to the Libyan crisis during her presentation.
The briefing comes at a time of heightened international focus on Libya’s political and security landscape, with the UN seeking to re-energise dialogue efforts among Libyan stakeholders and chart a path toward stability.
