Interpol issues Red Notice for Libya eastern killer Mahmoud Al-Werfalli
The Interpol issued a Red Notice for the eastern frontlines commander of Al-Saiqa Force at the self-styled army led by Khalifa Haftar in eastern Libya and allied to the Tobruk parliament.
The Interpol posted on its Red Notice section the name of Al-Werfalli saying he is convicted of war crimes of seven counts.
Al-Werfalli conducted January 24 summary execution of 10 detainees in front of Bayat Al-Ridwan mosque in Benghazi, in the same spot the twin car bombings took place on January 22.
He has been listed as a war criminal by the International Criminal Court and has two arrest warrants awaiting him.
Though he claimed handing himself over to Haftar-led military police, he was released a day after upon threats of his followers to burn and bring down Haftar’s general command.
