Libya military prosecutor escapes detention place, family reports

The military prosecutor of Libya’s UN-backed unity government, Maj. Masoud Erhouma, has reportedly fled his captors after more than one month in captivity, according to local media.
Local media quoted Erhouma’s family as saying that the military prosecutor had escaped from his captors.
According to the report, he fled to a “safe place” in the city of Al-Rajaban, 162 kilometers south-west of Tripoli.
There was no comment from the Libyan government on the report.
Erhouma was kidnapped from his home in southwestern Tripoli by gunmen in mid-March.
No group had claimed responsibility for the abduction.
