All children rescued out of Thai cave in a miraculous operation

All the trapped boys have been rescued from a cave in Thailand after an ordeal lasting more than two weeks.

12 boys have been rescued from Tham Luang cave so far amid public euphoria.

The young football team have been trapped underground for more than a fortnight.

At roughly 10am UK time it was reported the ninth boy – and the first today – had been rescued. Roughly 30 minutes later a second was brought to the surface. At 12.15pm the coach was brought to the surface.

Officials say the eight boys rescued on Sunday and Monday are in good health overall but hungry and have asked for bread with chocolate topping for breakfast – despite being told they should only have bland foods.

The final push for rescue teams will be ‘challenging’ because of the risk of more rain percolating through cave walls.

Today’s final rescue mission to extract the last four boys and their football coach will take longer than the previous two days because, in addition, three Thai Navy SEALS and a Thai army medic who have stayed with the boys since they were found will also come out.
