Libya refutes agreement of exchanging oil for goods with Tunisia
The spokesman of the Presidential Council’s Head, Mohammed El Sallak, refuted on Monday the news about the singing of an agreement with Tunisia to exchange Libyan oil for Tunisian goods.
El Sallak said on his Twitter account that there is no such agreement between Tunisia and Libya.
Last week, the Tunisian Prime Minister Khamis Jhinaoui announced that his country had secured an agreement with Libya to exchange oil for goods.
Libya is a vital importer of Tunisian goods – especially food commodities – given the two borders it has with it and the relatively short travel distance between the two countries.
