Libya hosts seventh international food exhibition in Tripoli

The seventh edition of the Libya International Food Exhibition opened on Sunday at the Tripoli International Fairground, bringing together a wide range of local and international participants in the food and manufacturing sectors.
The event features exhibitors from 14 countries, alongside 99 foreign companies, reflecting growing international engagement with Libya’s food industry.
Running until 1 April, the exhibition also includes more than 103 Libyan companies specialising in food production, factory equipment and production lines, as well as restaurant and café supplies, and packaging technologies.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy under the Government of National Unity, the exhibition aims to support the development of the domestic food sector while enhancing opportunities for investment and international cooperation.
The event is organised by the International Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, under the supervision of the General Authority for Exhibitions and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ministers of Industry and Minerals, Economy and Trade, and Tourism, in addition to the Deputy Minister of Industry for Production Affairs, the Chairman of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Executive Director of the Libyan Industry Union, and a number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Libya.
