The Benghazi Shura Council revolutionaries shot down a Mig 23 warplane for the Dignity Operation forces, led by Khalifa Haftar, on Wednesday, saying that the pilot was killed with the crash of the downing of the warplane.

Sources from the Shura Council said the pilot killed in the downing is Idriss Al-Abaidi, whose warplane was shot down as he was raiding on Ganfodah district in Benghazi.

They also said the killed pilot was infamous for carrying out airstrikes on Derna and Benghazi killing a number of civilians and destroying a number of houses.
