Libya, Sudan ink higher education pact

Libya and Sudan have signed a new executive program to boost cooperation in higher education and scientific research.

The agreement, valid until 2026, was formalised during a meeting between Libyan Minister of Higher Education, Omran Al-Geeb, and his Sudanese counterpart, Mohammed Dahab, in Tripoli on Sunday.

The meeting, attended by high-ranking officials from both countries, including university presidents and research center directors, emphasised the commitment to fostering academic exchange and research collaboration.

The program aims to strengthen ties between universities and research centers in both nations, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

This initiative reflects the growing partnership between Libya and Sudan in various sectors, including education, as both countries seek to enhance regional cooperation and development.
