Calm descends on Garabulli after Tarhouna brigades end fighting and withdraw

Tarhouna brigades and Al-Kani Brigade forces have pulled out from Garabulli district near Tripoli after the elders of Tarhouna and Garabulli agreed a plan to secure the district.

The agreement was reached Sunday night after hours of fighting over a person kidnapped from Tarhouna Al-Kani brigade by an armed group in Garabulli.

The agreement was signed by elders council of Garabulli, elders council of Tarhouna and elders council of Tripoli.

The signatories all agreed to hand over the Bridge checkpoint and the Garabulli main checkpoint to the Central Security Support Department of Garabulli, after the Tarhouna forces had withdrawn.
