Decision on Jerusalem is close says US middle east peace envoy Jared Kushner

The middle east peace envoy and the president of the United States son-in-law, Jared Kushner said that a decision on the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is close.
Kushner said at the Saban Forum “The president’s going to make his decision,” adding ” He’s still looking at a lot of different facts and when he makes his decision he’ll be the one who wants to tell you”.
The news sent jitters across the region with Palestinian leaders lobbying against the possible move.
In a tweet, Jordan’s foreign minister, Ayman Safadi said: “Spoke with #USSecretary of State Tillerson on dangerous consequences of recognizing Jerusalem as capital of Israel. Such a decision would trigger anger across #Arab #Muslim worlds, fuel tension & jeopardise peace efforts.”
No formal decision has been announced.
