The President of the Government of National Accord’s Presidential Council, Fayiz Al-Serraj, has been taking part in the exceptional fifth Islamic Summit that started Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Al-Serraj delivered a speech on behalf of the Libyan State saying: “I assure you that the political resolution of the Libyan crisis is going on the right track against all odds.”

He also told the Summit attendees that the nature of the accord-based solution requires a great deal of flexibility and constraint, reiterating that all Libyans are aware that their enemy is the same all over the country, which is the terrorist groups, on top of all, ISIS.

Al-Serraj also thanked all the countries that supported Libya to stand on its feet again, underlining that Libya hopes their support includes hindering of terrorists’ influx into Libya and slamming an embargo on arming any illegitimate group.
“We hope that you provide the needed support for the GNA to help it build Libya’s military, social and security institutions and also provide it with the necessary expertise to help it confront the growing threat of terrorism.” Al-Serraj concluded.
