GNU wants Airline Tickets price reduced

Libya’s GNU decreases jet fuel prices, asks for a review of ticket prices

The Government of National Unity issued a decision to reduce the price of jet fuel to local airlines by more than 50%.

The government said Monday “selling price of jet fuel from the Brega company to all local airlines will be a maximum of 1300 dinars per ton.”

The government called on the Ministry of Transportation to review the prices of national airline tickets and take the necessary measures in this regard.

Libyan national airlines raised the prices of their tickets to compensate for the losses resulting from the limited destinations and the high prices of fuel supplied by the Brega company, despite the latter’s announcement earlier to stop selling jet fuel to the Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways due to their delayed payments of the financial dues that are worth millions of dinars.
