House of Representatives to vote on LPA and elect new governor for Central Bank of Libya

The House of Representatives (HOR) will hold a new session today, at its headquarters in Tobruk, to include the Libya Political Agreement (LPA) in the constitutional declaration.
Today’s session will also witness the election of a new governor for the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), which was supposed to happen yesterday, where more than 110 MPs were present.
The HOR chairman, Agila Saleh, has also called on the members of the council to elect a new HOR Speaker after Emhmed Shoaeb resigned from the position in an official memo to the HOR on Saturday, saying difficulty of carrying out his duties prompted his resignation.
