Libyan coastguards rescue 138 illegal migrants including Libyans off Zuwara shores

The Libyan Coast Guard in Zuwara announced that it had rescued about 138 illegal immigrants from different African nationalities including Moroccans and three Libyans off Zuwara shores while they were heading to Italy on board rickety boats.
The Chief of the Zuwara Coast Guard, Lieutenant Essam Tawr, said that the illegal immigrants were on two boats and they were saved after one of the fishing trawlers gave the coastguards a tip-off about them.
“The two boats set off from Sabratha loaded with 138 illegal migrants.” One immigrant said.
The illegal immigrants were sent to the headquarters of the joint security room in Zuwara before they get transported to the shelter centers in Azzawiya city, Lieutenant Tawr added.
