Libyan MP: Aqilah Saleh dropped a number of MPs due to political differences

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh

Khalifa Al-Daghari, a member of the House of Representatives, confirmed that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh, dropped the membership of several MPs because of political differences.

Al-Daghari stated in a press statement that he was surprised to lose membership rather than accept resignation requests submitted previously’.

He continued; “the memorandum of the 80 deputies should be included in the next session because they represent the majority in the parliament’.

In his explanation, Al-Daghari stated that “the decision to drop membership included representatives who did not hold positions in the state’.

He further stated that the decision “was not taken in a session with a defined majority’.
