The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj arrived in Algeria on Thursday and met with the President Abdelkader bin Saleh and a number of officials.

The media office of Al-Sirraj said the discussions were about the current Tripoli attacks led by Khalifa Haftar.

The Algerian President reiterated his country’s support for the Government of National Accord and rejection to Tripoli offensive, saying there is no military solution in Libya.

Al-Sirraj hailed Algeria’s stance that defends stability and security in Libya and reiterated that the consequences of Haftar’s attack on Tripoli can expand outside Libya, saying the forces will be defeated for the safety and security of all Libyans.

Al-Sirraj arrived in Algeria coming from Tunisia after meeting with its President Essebsi.
