The Military Council of Misurata has issued a statement Thursday afternoon to announce that it adheres to the orders of the Presidential Council of the UN-backed GNA regarding the liberation of Sirte city from ISIS.
The Military Council of Misurata said it won’t move along any of its forces until the Presidential Council gives orders of the go-ahead for the liberation operation.
Earlier on Thursday, the PC issued a statement ordering all forces to wait for the appointing of a joint leadership for the liberation operation of Sirte, and those that violate the orders, it said will be held accountable for their actions as they are violating the military orders of the Chief Commander of the Libyan Army (PC).
