Mizran and Sha’ab mosques demolished in Tripoli

Two old mosques in Tripoli, Mizaran and Sha’ab mosques, were brought down by bulldozers Wednesday dawn as eyewitnesses from the scene reported.
They said the demolishing came because the Mizaran old mosque is believed to be a room for tombs from bygone days and thus it was destroyed.
The main Mizaran mosque has remained untouched, but only the old building next to it was destroyed according to the eyewitnesses, saying that Sha’ab mosque, which is located next to Radisson Blu hotel, Al-Mahari, has also been demolished.
