Tehran adds Israeli power plants to response plans

Sources close to Iran’s decision-making circles have said that two major Israeli power stations have been added to a list of potential targets by the joint operations room of the so-called “Axis of Resistance”, according to reports carried by Iranian media.
The development follows a report by Reuters, which cited an Israeli military official as saying that preparations were under way for a possible strike on Iranian energy infrastructure.
In response, Iranian media outlets quoted informed sources as describing the move as part of a policy of “reciprocity”, indicating readiness to respond to any attack on Iran’s critical facilities.
The sources suggested that any targeting of Iranian energy sites could prompt a direct response against key infrastructure in Israel, reflecting an apparent escalation in rhetoric between the two sides.
There has been no immediate official confirmation from Tehran regarding the reported decision, and Israeli authorities have not publicly commented on the claims.
The exchange underscores growing tensions in the region, where concerns are mounting over the potential targeting of strategic energy infrastructure, raising fears of wider instability.
