Qatar supports civilian state in Libya

The Head of Libya’s Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj met in Doha on Sunday with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss mutual relations and the latest political developments in Libya.

Al-Sirraj’s media office said that the two officials discussed the political solution in Libya and the need for civilian state and the unity of state institutions.

Al-Sirraj arrived in Doha on a working visit to review the support of Qatar to the political solution to the Libyan crisis.

Sheikh Tamim Al Thani reiterated Qatar’s support for Libya’ unity and stability and the efforts of the UN envoy Ghassan Salame.
