Special Deterrence Force arrests sleeper cell plotting for military acts in Tripoli
The Tripoli-based Special Deterrence Force (SDF) said it had arrested a sleeper cell that was plotting to carry out military actions in the Libyan capital in coordination sleeper cells from the Popular Front for Liberation of Libya, which is made up of Gaddafi’s regime loyalists.
The SDF said on Facebook that the cell was busted in coordination with the 306 Brigade and 102 Brigade.
It added that interrogations revealed that the detainees had a deadline hour for their actions in Tripoli so they can wreak havoc in the capital.
