Twitter has taken down the account of Italian journalist Vanessa Tomassini, who was once staying in Tripoli doing some career-starting reports.

Twitter’s decision came after a torrent of reports on Tomassini’s account after she boasted in a tweet her admiration for serial killer and wanted criminal for International Criminal Court, Mahmoud Al-Werfalli.

The Italian journalist was once reporting from Tripoli about the ongoing conflict and was a fan of Al-Ahli football club in the capital.

However, with the start of Tripoli offensive by Khalifa Haftar, Vanessa Tomassini sided with Haftar’s forces and started a campaign of propaganda for their attacks.
