UN appoints US Chargé d’affaires in Libya as deputy special representative to the country
The UN Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Stephanie T. Williams of the United States of America as his Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs in Libya, United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
By this appointment, the US Chargé d’affaires will become the deputy head of the UN mission to Libya and will be the assistant of the UN envoy Ghassan Salame.
