United Nations urges the UAE to immediately release Libyan businessmen

The United Nations called Monday on the Emirates’ authorities to immediately set free the detained Libyan businessmen.
In a very strong report for the UN, it also urged the UAE not to set conditions for the release of the detainees, describing that their detention is merely arbitrary.
It explained that the detainees are suffering from bad health conditions, such as permanent loss of hearing and sight and even liability to be paralysed all because of torture by the detention authorities and lack of health care.
The UN’s report added that the UAE’s authorities have been contacted for clarification, but their answers were not convincing.
