Man arrested near British Parliament for carrying knives
A man carrying knives near the British Parliament has been arrested on suspicion of planning a terror attack, according to the CNN.
Armed officers from the Metropolitan Police’s counter-terrorism command unit detained the suspect Thursday, in what was described as an “ongoing operation.” The CNN added.
Forensics officers examined the scene outside the London Underground station at Westminster and recovered the suspect’s backpack and at least two knives, the CNN indicated.
Photographs of the arrest showed armed police pinning the man on the ground, CNN wrote.
