The Presidential Council’s Head Fayez Al-Sirraj has told Radio Télévision Suisse that he won’t allow division in Libya, saying the unity of the country is a red line.

He added in an interview on Tuesday with RTS that he will pass his authorities to his successor with Libya being one not divided.

He also slammed Khalifa Haftar for his attack on Tripoli as a backstabber, saying trusting Haftar was his biggest mistakes.

Al-Sirraj indicated that there will be no negotiations with Haftar as the rules for the political process have changed since April 04.

Time and time again, Al-Sirraj has rejected truces with Haftar’s forces and all unconditional ceasefire calls by foreign powers, conditioning the ceasefire to the pullout of Haftar’s forces to their previous positions as of before April 04.
