Menfi, Germany ambassador emphasise importance of election

The head of the presidential council, Mohammed Menfi, affirmed the council’s willingness to support any initiative that allows elections to take place, including partnering with the un mission.

In a meeting with the German ambassador, Michael Ohnmacht, in Tripoli on Wednesday, Menfi discussed bilateral relations and developments in Libya’s political situation.

Germany’s ambassador praised the work of the presidential council on reconciliation and elections, and its commitment to working with all parties to maintain the country’s unity.
