Presidential Council spokesperson discusses referendum proposals
Presidential Council Spokesperson Najwa Wahiba outlined potential uses of public referendums to address Libya’s current political challenges.
Speaking in recent media statements, Wahiba explained the Presidential Council’s constitutional authority to conduct public consultations. She discussed a newly established commission that could serve as a mechanism for organising referendums and gathering public opinion.
According to Wahiba, citizen participation in decision-making through referendums could contribute to national unity. She highlighted the importance of democratic processes in achieving political stability.
