Libya adds Bell 429 helicopters to air ambulance fleet

The Libyan Air Ambulance service has received two from manufacturer Bell Textron, AirMed & Rescue magazine reports.
The aircraft, delivered through African distributor Africair and local agent United Libya Systems, follow a Bell 505 helicopter delivered in June 2023. All three aircraft were ordered in March 2023.
The Bell 429 can accommodate seven passengers and one pilot in standard configuration, with a maximum speed of 287 kilometres per hour and range of 689 kilometres.
The new helicopters are expected to enhance Libya’s emergency medical capabilities, particularly in accessing remote and challenging locations.
