Zallaf Oil reports successful cyber defence

Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration, Production and Refining Company has successfully intercepted and neutralised a phishing attack targeting its operational systems, the company announced today.

The company’s cybersecurity team detected the threat during its initial stages and implemented immediate precautionary measures to contain and neutralise the security risk, according to a corporate statement.

In response to the incident, Zallaf has issued an advisory to its workforce, urging heightened vigilance whilst handling electronic communications, particularly suspicious emails and embedded links.
