Two-day ceasefire takes effect Thursday in Aleppo
Life signs return to Aleppo after both the Syrian regime forces and opposition fighters agreed to succumb to the mounting pressure of the US-Russian push for a ceasefire truce.
Thus, a two-day ceasefire took hold on Thursday in Aleppo, where civilians returned to the streets after two weeks of heavy fighting.
The Syrian regime army said late on Wednesday that it had agreed to calls from Russia and the United States for a two-day truce that would begin at 1am Syrian local time on Thursday.
